The Dutch coop features a gambrel (barn-style) roofline that makes it one of the most visually distinctive structures in our full lineup. The upper loft created by the gambrel profile can serve as additional storage, a second roosting tier, or simply extra airspace that helps keep the coop cooler in summer.
Beyond the aesthetics, the Dutch is a practical choice for flock owners who prioritize interior space. The wider walls below the gambrel give you more usable floor and vertical area than a comparable A-Frame or pitched-roof design. If you want a coop with real interior breathing room and a look that complements a traditional property, the Dutch is worth serious consideration.
All Dutch coops include LP SmartSide® siding, galvanized hardware cloth, nesting boxes, roosting bars, and a pop-hole door. The same upgrade options available across the collection (auto doors, runs, cupolas, color choices) apply here too.
