Why the Quaker?

The Quaker is the best-selling coop in our full lineup, and it's easy to see why. The single-pitch shed-style roof gives you the maximum usable interior space per square foot of any style we carry — important when you're managing a larger flock and need to get inside for cleaning, egg collection, or health checks without crouching.

The simple roofline also makes the Quaker one of the most weather-resistant designs. Water runs cleanly off the single slope, there are no valleys to collect debris, and the tall front wall allows for larger windows and better cross-ventilation — critical for Texas summers where heat management is just as important as cold-weather protection.

Available from a compact 4×6 up to a spacious 8×10, the Quaker handles flocks from 6 to 40+ birds depending on the size selected. All our standard quality applies: LP SmartSide® siding, galvanized hardware cloth, solid framing, nesting boxes, and roosting bars included.
