Amish-Built Chicken Coops
Tractor
Mobile chicken coop with handles — move your flock to fresh grass every day.

About This Style
Why the Tractor?
A chicken tractor isn't just a coop with wheels — it's a different philosophy of flock management. Instead of your birds returning to the same patch of worn-down dirt every day, you move the tractor to a fresh section of grass on a regular rotation. Your chickens get access to fresh forage, natural insects, and new ground, while your yard gets evenly distributed fertilizer and scratch marks.
Our tractor is built with the same quality standards as every fixed coop in the lineup: LP SmartSide® siding on the enclosed section, galvanized hardware cloth on the run section, and solid timber framing throughout. The difference is the integrated handle system that lets one or two people reposition the coop without tools or effort.
Tractors are best suited for smaller flocks — typically 2 to 8 birds depending on the size — and for property owners who want the birds actively working the land. If you have a larger flock or need a permanent installation, one of our fixed styles will serve you better.
